For the public benefit

TechnoLogica implements and supports various projects for the public benefit, related to the presentation of our country and the Bulgarian institutions, the preservation and promotion of the Bulgarian cultural and historical heritage, as well as the improvement of the overall living environment in Bulgaria.

Projects in support of Bulgarian science and culture:

  • Jointly with the National Museum of History, as early as 1994, TechnoLogica created the first multimedia CD presenting the Bulgarian historical and cultural heritage. The company provided pro bono a multimedia kiosk at the museum with a touch-screen monitor to enable children to search on their own for the information that interested them and to learn how to use a computer.
  • In 1996, for the first time in Eastern Europe, TechnoLogica provided pro bono the use of multimedia kiosks as a brand new type of service for the guests of a public forum – the Plovdiv Technical Fair. The kiosks provided visitors with user-searchable information on the exhibiting companies, the locations of their stands, the exhibition grounds and the tourist sights in Plovdiv.
  • To pay its respects and to honor the memory of the eminent Bulgarian writer, poet, satirist and dissident Radoi Ralin, TechnoLogica joined in the campaign to build his monument with a donation of BGN 8,000.
  • Financial support by the company made possible the publication of four books by Bulgarian authors.
With the financial support of TechnoLogica the exhibition “A Bulgarian Connection in Science” and a map of Livingston Island are printed and distributed in Bulgarian schools. With these initiatives we once again demonstrate and fulfill our ambition to promote Bulgarian scientific achievements as a means to help build the national awareness of young people in Bulgaria:

  • The exhibition “A Bulgarian Connection in Science” is a joint initiative with the National Polytechnic Museum. We continue implementing the campaign by donating full sets of the exhibition “A Bulgarian Connection in Science” to all government and educational institutions willing to receive it. TechnoLogica funds the publication of 21 panels illustrating the work and inventions of Bulgarian scientists whose names are more respected abroad than in Bulgaria and many organizations already own the exhibition.
  • A map of Livingston Island showing major geographic features, 56% of which bear Bulgarian names. TechnoLogica supported with BGN 20,000 the creation and printing of an illustrated map of the Antarctic island of Livingston, making it possible for 1,000 Bulgarian schools to own it. The map includes the most recent and complete information about Livingston Island and the four neighboring islands in the archipelago.
  • Projects in support of the Bulgarian institutions:

    • On the occasion of the 50th anniversary of the National Polytechnic Museum, TechnoLogica entirely funded the construction of a new website (www.polytechnicmuseum.org) presenting the activities and development of the museum and its branches. The website was constructed by a joint team of a student and a faculty member at the Faculty of Mathematics and Informatics at Sofia University “St. Kliment Ohridski”, selected by a competition. Thus TechnoLogica wanted to fulfill another ambition – to create a replicable model for business and the universities.
    • The Green Dobruja project implemented for the Regional Governor’s office in Dobrich.
    • A new perspective for Bulgaria was provided by the multimedia presentation of the Bulgarian Army at the celebration of the 30th anniversary of NATO’s Supreme Headquarters Allied Powers Europe in the city of Mons. The presentation was produced by TechnoLogica including the development, the equipment and the team. The CD also included a presentation of the Atlantic movement in Bulgaria and was the official gift of the Bulgarian delegation on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of the creation of NATO in Washington D.C. The project was highly appreciated by NATO leadership.

We support various projects not only with funds, but also with our work, for instance we developed pro bono the websites of several organizations, such as the Atlantic Club of Bulgaria, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and the Bulgarian Business Leaders Forum.
